Explosion Proof Stainless Steel Ball Valves – Positioner

Explosion Proof Stainless Steel Ball Valves are used in flammable and explosive gas, liquid and dust occasions. They are easy to operate and can be equipped with on-site control devices.

SS ball valves withstand corrosion in harsh environments and don’t pose the health risks that brass can. SS ball valves also have better sealing than brass valves.
Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is an iron-based alloy that is highly valued for its corrosion resistance. The corrosion resistance comes from the chromium content of the alloy. There are many grades of stainless steel, each with its own properties. Some of these are highly resistant to acidic corrosion, while others have a lower resistance.

Generally speaking, the higher the chromium content of the alloy, the more resistant it will be to corrosion. Stainless steel is also highly durable and can withstand extreme temperatures.

Stainless steels have many applications in different industries. They are aesthetically appealing, extremely hygienic and easy to maintain. They are used in construction, manufacturing, food, and medical industries.
Class 1 Division 1

Explosion Proof Ball Valves provide safety and prevent valves from being left open, a potential environmental hazard. They can be used in a variety of environments where there is a risk of explosion or ignition of gases, vapors, and combustible dust. The explosion rated stainless steel ball valves are designed to prevent damage from these hazards and ensure worker safety.

Understanding Class 1 Division 1 and Zone 0 hazardous area classifications is important for selecting the right equipment that meets stringent safety standards. These ratings indicate how likely it is that flammable substances are present in particular locations, with Zone 0 indicating areas where explosive atmospheres are continuous or frequent and Division 1 indicating locations where explosive atmospheres could exist under abnormal conditions.

At Intrinsically Safe Store, we carry a wide range of equipment that is rated for use in hazardous locations. Our explosion-proof products are engineered to operate using minimal energy, which reduces the risk of an ignition hazard.
4-20mA

The explosion proof dual certified (low emission/fire safe) investment cast 2-piece Full Port 150# flanged stainless body and ball offers unrestricted flow with minimal pressure loss. Actuators are direct mounted, making this valve a compact assembly for tight spaces. The 316 SS trim and PTFE seats/seals provide durability for severe service applications.

A spool valve loads the actuator for positioning in response to an input signal. The feedback shaft and characterized cam are field interchangeable for a variety of operating profiles such as linear, equal percentage or quick opening operation.

The PMV EP5 4-20 mA electro-pneumatic positioner controls rotary and linear pneumatic actuators to control the valve stroke according to an input signal. It is available in Standard, Intrinsically Safe and Explosion Proof versions. Modular feedback unit F5 allows the addition of limit switches and/or position transmitters without requiring additional mounting brackets. Optional function inputs allow the use of binary inputs for blocking and set positions.
LED Screen

A LED screen is a large-scale LCD display that uses LED back lighting rather than the traditional cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) technology. These screens are less prone to breaking, last longer, and provide a more vivid white light that turns on quickly. They also require less power than other types of LCD screens.

The number of pixel rows in an LED screen determines how sharp the image will be. This is important because it tells how close you can get to the screen without losing picture quality. Ideally, you should buy an LED screen with a pixel pitch of no more than 40 mm.

Air actuated stainless steel 3 way ball valves are ideal for mixing and/or diverting the flow of fluids in pipes. These pneumatically operated valves can be fitted with either an ‘L’ ported ball or ‘T’ ported ball for a variety of flowing media, including many corrosive liquids. These stainless steel ball valves are rated for general service and can be used in a wide range of industrial applications.Explosion Proof Stainless Steel Ball Valves – Positioner
